IS THERE LOVE IN WINTER?, 2026, 24x24", Mixed media, $900
Is there love in winter? That's what she thought, feeling sad and melancholy, as flakes of snow swirled in the dark outside the window and slowly fell on the gray city. The background incorporates a muted urban scene with architectural elements and leafless trees, depicted in subdued grayscale. This mixed media work combines collage, spray paint, and plastic snowflakes in the background with an oil-painted portrait of the girl, creating a layered and textured composition that explores the quiet emotions of winter. The cool blues and greens of her hair contrast with the warm tones of her skin, illustrating how color can reflect and connect us to complex feelings. Through these hues, the artwork invites us to consider how colors shape our experience and understanding of love, even in the coldest seasons.
HER TIME TO GLOW, 2026, 24x24", Mixed media, $900
Her Time to Glow celebrates contemporary women’s joy and vibrancy through a blend of textured abstraction and realism. The work reflects themes of connection, progress, and personal happiness, inviting viewers to embrace life’s energy and optimism.
Her Time to Glow is a mixed media portrait exploring the energy and joy found in contemporary women’s lives. I focused on blending a realistic face with abstract textures and layered colors—purple and pink bands over a vibrant, patterned background that features a yellow suspension bridge reflected in water. The piece captures a moment of happiness and optimism, using bold forms and subtle details to express a sense of freedom and strength. This work reflects my ongoing interest in contrast—between texture and structure, between the individual and the environment—and celebrates life with a confident, lively spirit.

The composition uses mixed media combined with subtle oil finishes to create a luminous interplay of light and shadow, evoking the quiet anticipation of spring. The textured surface adds depth and tactility, inviting a tactile response while emphasizing the delicate connection between dreams and nature. The gentle hues of lilac and muted tones weave an atmosphere of hope and longing, reflecting themes of renewal and the promise of a hopeful future. SUNFLOWERS, 24" x 24", 2025, $900
It’s saying “be happy” but the letters torn, and she is not smiling. The scribbles could be memories of an unfulfilled happiness. Marks making and lots of textures add depth, and the oil finish makes it alive.
GLIMMER OF A WHIMSICAL DREAM, 2025, 24x24', mixed media, $900 CAD
The artwork beautifully integrates elements of portraiture and surrealism, featuring a female figure adorned with an array of vibrant flowers, their petals blending seamlessly with her features. The interplay of colors is masterful, with warm hues of orange and yellow creating a luminous backdrop that adds depth and warmth to the overall composition. The presence of goldfish further enhances the ethereal quality, swimming through an aquatic realm that seems to merge with the ethereal floral elements surrounding the central figure.
The technique of layering and blending these different elements suggests a deft hand and a sophisticated understanding of color theory. The textures are rich and varied, invoking both the softness of petals and the fluidity of water. This juxtaposition of texture and form invites the viewer to linger, explore the depths, and discover new nuances with each glance.
One of the strengths of this piece is its ability to evoke a dreamlike quality, offering a sense of whimsy and wonder. The artist successfully captures a balance between reality and imagination, creating a space that feels both familiar and fantastical. This duality is compelling, drawing the viewer into a meditative state, contemplating the boundaries between the tangible and the imagined.

This artwork reflects on the overpowering influence of material wealth, symbolized by abundant gold, and how it can overshadow spirituality, especially in the lives of many girls where money and jewelry become valued above deeper meaning.
